EPIC Race Events: Race Across The West!

🚴 🌄 We’re sponsoring an exciting American event happening this summer, one that’s gathering more fans and acclaim each year.

This is a special ultracycling race event beginning on the sandy beaches of beautiful Oceanside California for a big send off, over the 10,000 foot Sierra Mountain passes and into the scorching Mojave and Sonoran deserts to finish in Colorado.

Race Across the West is an exciting, challenging and interesting route that will see riders visit many towns and cities across 4 states. And we'll be live at the event starting in Oceanside to provide special coverage of what is a fun event in the community. We hope you'll join us on the beach for some coffee and donuts to send our team off.

This ultra-endurance bike race has similarities to the famous Tour de France which has become much more than an international, endurance bike race. 

The Tour de France happens every year during the early summer and brings joy and prosperity to the French towns on the race route.  Fans from across the world simply can't wait for that EPIC race. They travel to France or they watch it on TV.

America's EPIC Cycling Event -- Race Across America

The US has its own version of the TDF, called the Race Across America happening June 11th, 2024.

It's on a route of more than 3000 miles from Oceanside to Atlantic City NJ.  It showcases technology, athletic endurance, and teamwork. Our Head of Customer Operations Uli Muench, won this race within a 4-person team in 2022.

And the Western United States has its own leg of this cycling event called the Race Across the West which our Head of Customer Operations, Uli Muench is competing in this year.

The Race Across the West begins in beautiful Oceanside California along a scenic mountainous route of 930 miles across 4 states finishing in Durango Colorado, a major cycling city home to many American professional cycling stars (including Sepp Kuss aka "the Durango Kid"). The race course is a paved, undulating route giving riders a challenge via big elevation changes and extreme weather conditions over mountains and across deserts.

ManageCasa™ is sponsoring a 2-person team for this year's race. Our talented team isn't just going through the motions. Instead, they're aiming to beat the current record for 2-person mixed teams and to finish the race in under 48 hours of nonstop racing.

It's a tough, grueling race whether for solo cyclists, duo teams or 4-person teams. Riding round the clock for two days takes an exceptional level of health and vitality. It also takes teamwork in logistics, support, and revitalization.

ManageCasa Introduces The Scorpions!

ManageCasa will be sponsoring Uli Muench and Jolanda Straathof, as a 2 person, male/female mixed racing team called the “The Scorpions.” They will be supported by a crew of five following them in vehicles. 

The performance model of the ManageCasa Race team (is a good one for any community association management team too):

• a well-conceived/planned race strategy to manage a tough 900+ mile course in extreme, perhaps dangerous conditions
• proper sponsorship funding (ManageCasa major sponsor, Dutch Diesel minor sponsor) for equipment, accommodations, food/drink, fuel, GPS/mobile internet, and more expenses
• high performing team players with race skills, experience, audacity, and energy
• modern technology such as elite efficient racing bicycles, support vehicles, gps tracking software, live streaming, race analytics

900+ Miles to the Finish Line!

Google Maps says you'd only need 3 days to ride the 930-mile race course on your bike!  That's 310 miles per day but only manageable by experienced riders.  Our team is out to ride it in less than 48 hours which is quite ambitious. 

We're going to provide you with pre-race news, ongoing reports during the race with photos and videos, and racer commentary so you can enjoy an actual ultra cycling race with us.

This year's Race Across the West begins at the Oceanside Pier in Oceanside, CA on June 11th, 2024 and ends in Durango, Colorado.  We hope you'll be there to cheer our great team on.
